SKIP Gallery X SKIP House

British artist Harrison Marshall has found a unique way to beat the rising cost of living in London. While prohibitive rents in the capital continue to price out many people, he has used his design skills to create a new way to live for less. In January, Harrison packed his bags and moved into a skip.

Over the last few months, the artist worked to convert a skip into a liveable space - fit for
sleeping, cooking, washing and even hosting a friend or two. With only 25 sq ft of floor
space, the skip now has all of the basic amenities to enable him to live for at least the next
year in Central London.

Harrison is a co-founder of CAUKIN Studio; a design and construction social enterprise that
creates impact through architecture.
